My lovely wife snapped this photo of yours truly standing on the banks of Bear Island. My wife and I had the thrill of taking the 1.5 hour paddle from the Intercoastal Waterway behind the Barrier Island Kayaks headquarters to Bear Island State Park. If you are seeking an excellent vantage point to view the estuaries surrounding Huggins and Bear Island, this is one kayak paddle you must place at the top of your Crystal Coast list of things to do!
